When we are researching our Ancestors, we often wonder what their lives were like. Part of that can be getting to know about their clothing, food, homes and so on. Reenactors certainly spend a great deal of time recreating the lives of our ancestors. As part of honouring those who went before us, UELAC suggests learning about and wearing garments, especially at special events, that are made to resemble the items that have been researched, are displayed in museums and accepted as the best versions we can find of our ancestor’s clothing.
